Andrew Straub-Heidke
Andrew Straub-Heidke became General Manager of the Southwestern Water Conservation District in July 2026. Prior to joining the District, he worked as a water resources consultant, providing technical and strategic support to municipalities, ski areas, and other water users throughout Western Colorado. Earlier in his career, Andrew worked in Southwest Colorado for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and the San Juan National Forest.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Hydrology and Geography from the University of Colorado and a Master of Science in Water Resources/Hydrology from the University of Oklahoma. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife and two children. Whether hiking, backpacking, or mountain biking, you'll most often find them in Colorado's high country, especially along the Colorado Trail, or exploring the red rock landscapes of Utah.
